Neuropsychological evaluations are similar to giving your computer a check-up. We use a set of tests and procedures to look at different aspects of how one’s brain is working. Some of these aspects include memory, attention, language, processing speed, and executive functioning.
Purpose of Neuropsychological Evaluations
These assessments can help evaluate the impact of a head injury or stroke or it can help us identify diagnoses like ADHD, autism, or dementia. They can also measure changes in these mental faculties over time. Change can indicate the progression of a problem or it can indicate a good response to treatment or rehabilitation.
The most common type of neuropsychological evaluations we provide are for ADHD and Autism.

The process usually involves an interview where we talk about your history and concerns, followed by a series of tests. These tests can involve answering questions, solving puzzles, or remembering lists. It's like a workout for your brain, and it helps us get a detailed picture of your cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
